J. Cody Faulkner is an audiovisual technician, technology specialist, and overall media professional based in Middle Tennessee. He is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University. There, he studied film and video production with a primary focus on film production and screenwriting. He has worked on several projects throughout his career in single-camera and multi-camera environments. Some examples of projects he has worked on would be short films (narrative and documentary), public service announcements, live news and other television productions, corporate conferences and conventions, live music, and sports. Filmmaking and writing are two of his greatest passions, and he is always more than happy to be a part of the creative process.
Cody has been involved in the field of audiovisual technology as far back as the early 2000’s when he became very active in his high school’s audiovisual technology classes. It was then that he realized his passion. However, it wasn’t until after college that he could finally begin his career as an audiovisual technician. In the Summer of 2016, he began working for Convention Production Rigging, a Nashville-based audiovisual staffing company. From there, he made his way to being employed with ITA Audio Visual Solutions as a lead technician. After a couple of years with ITA, Cody accepted his current position as event technology manager at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University hotel.
He also produces 360-degree VR experiences under the name of GlobosVR. GlobosVR is an effort to produce visually stunning 360-degree experiences for viewers to enjoy. Currently, Cody works on the side as a freelance photographer and videographer in hopes that he can begin his own production company in the future.
